3. Almond Nails

This shape is the most challenging and difficult to achieve counterpart of the oval shape, because unlike the oval that has slightly tapered edges, this shape needs to be elongated with a rounded base.

Almond nails are intensely and insanely glamorous, and they have been named after the almond, because the entire nail is filed to give it an almond-like elongation from the tip, while the base remains rounded.

This shape can be flaunted by anyone with long or even medium-length nails. However, women with short nails cannot rock this shape because it requires a great deal of length to make the almond shape visible.

4. Square Nails

Square nails are undoubtedly the simplest and easiest nail shape that anyone can create for themselves. All it requires is to simply file your nails back and forth from the tip of the nail. However, the fact that it is simple and easy to create doesn’t necessarily mean that it is also easy to maintain and upkeep the square nails. The corners of squared nails get so easily jagged, which requires you to constantly keep buffing them up to give them a smooth appearance.

Experts advise that when you are filling the sides, just be sure to place the file at a perpendicular distance from the nail, and make sure you are not exerting a great deal of pressure or else, the edges will be filed with a concave U-shape as opposed to the boxy and straight square that you seek to create.

This nail shape can be flaunted on both, natural and fake nails. However, keep in mind that it tends to most glamorous on nails that have long and narrow nail beds.
